When did the Lord call you to himself?
I was six years old. I remember one Sunday after church learning about the terror of living eternity apart from the Lord. For whatever reason, maybe something I heard during church, I had in mind heaven specifically. I didn’t want heaven if God wasn’t there. I prayed in my 6 year old way that the Lord would let me be with Him always.
Why are you writing?
Truth is objective, not subjective to our individual whim. It is found in God’s Word alone, and our souls need to be saturated in this truth daily! This blog is a unique opportunity of fellowship/discipleship with other ladies of my local church, but also, this blog is accountability to strive for the truth of God’s Word and to exhort others to do the same.
Things you do when you’re not writing
I LOVE to play with my puppy, Lyla Belle! She is a super sweet, yet full of energy. I also love riding bikes and being outdoors! When we have no plans on a Friday night, my husband, Lyla Belle, and I like to have a movie night.
Rainy Day Movie: depends on the season, Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Starwars any time of year; Home Alone or The Holiday Inn (with Bing Crosby and Fred Astair) during winter; Cool Runnings, Sandlot, Zeus & Roxanne, or Flipper during the Summer!
Most Impactful / Formative Book: Don’t Waste Your Life by John Piper, if you haven’t read it, read it!!
Coffee, soda, or tea? Coffee with cream, but you might call it coffee flavored milk! I do like a little coffee in my cream 😉
